It has been my honor and privilege to serve the Lower Manhattan Jewish community for over 3 decades. Whether it's maintaining the minyanim, teaching in groups or individuals of all ages, or all the minutiae necessary to keep the doors open, the many years have not dimmed my enthusiasm for coming to work every single day. As such, I appeal to you to use this occasion to show your commitment to ensuring that this work, and my efforts, will continue. Your attendance will be a great first gesture in this regard but we present other opportunities for you to make a huge difference in building the vibrance of our synagogue. The night will also focus on my spiritual journey that brought me from the suburbs of Fairfield to the urban center of TriBeCa, from a Conservative synagogue to becoming an Orthodox Rabbi. I will accomplish that by performing my one man rock musical "The Magic Booth" with my original lyrics and music composed by the incomparable Joel Diamond. I first performed this in our sanctuary in 2000, 10 years into my tenure, hence the first piece "10 Years I've Tried" but will follow me to Salamanca, then Columbia and finally TriBeCa. It will truly be a night to remember and looking forward to having you all together on June 10th!
